Gritty Australian crime drama set in mid-1980s Melbourne. 17-year-old Josh, or 'J' (James Frecheville), goes to live with his estranged grandmother Cody (Jacki Weaver) and uncles Pope (Ben Mendelsohn), Craig (Sullivan Stapleton) and Darren (Luke Ford) after his mother dies from a heroin overdose. It turns out that Cody is a fearsome crime matriarch presiding over a family of armed robbers, drug dealers, murderers, gangsters and sociopaths. Josh must now navigate his way through this explosive 'animal kingdom' of violent crime, helped and hindered in equal measures by police detective Leckie (Guy Pearce).

Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson star in this bleak drama directed by David Michôd. Ten years after an economic collapse has made life tough in the Australian outback, Eric (Pearce) travels from place to place in his car, which is his only remaining possession, and struggles to make ends meet. When a group of wandering thieves steal his car after their own truck gets damaged and leave an injured member behind, Eric sets off to track them down. In his pursuit he meets up with Rey (Pattinson), the abandoned member of the group, who he believes will have an idea of the gang's whereabouts. Can Eric hunt them down and regain the only thing he has left?

Gavin O'Connor directs this action Western. Natalie Portman stars as Jane Hammond, gun-wielding wife of Bill 'Ham' Hammond (Noah Emmerich). When Ham is severely injured in a duel with the Bishop Boys, a band of thugs headed by the devious Colin (Ewan McGregor), the couple go on the run. With the gang hot on their heels, Jane turns to old flame Dan Frost (Joel Edgerton) to help the pair stake out against the approaching mob, whose past with Jane goes deeper than is at first apparent.
